Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is the second busiest airport in Nevada. It serves western Nevada, Reno and certain parts of eastern California. The airport is a suitable car rental hub because it is the nearest commercial air gateway into the Lake Tahoe, a popular tourist destination. Options for car hire at the Reno Airport are provided by a number of major rental agencies.

The airport is composed of a single terminal building that serves all domestic and international flights into and out of the area. Aside from car hire options, it offers a variety of passenger services including information desks and travel assistance booths located mostly at the Arrivals area, ATMs and telephones on all the concourses, and free wireless internet access on all public areas. Defibrillators are also installed all over the terminal.

Passengers are provided with various shopping opportunities. Duty free shops are located on Concourse C, while regular shopping through various retail outlets is available all over the building. Travellers will find a variety of stores including news agents, gift shops, clothing and candy stores all over the airport. Restaurants and coffee shops are open all over the terminal, while fast food outlets are found at eh Food Court.

To get to Reno city centre or to Lake Tahoe, travellers can take the public bus that goes through the airport at regular intervals. Shuttle services to Lake Tahoe are also available. Taxi services can be arranged in front of the terminal building. Options for cheap car hire at the Reno Airport can be found on the lower level of the building to the left of the main entrance.

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
