Dalaman Airport is located less than six kilometres from Dalaman town. The busy airport receives non-stop flights from Europe several times a week. Marmaris and Fethiye are beautiful and form part of many scenic drives in the area, making cheap car hire at Dalaman Airport an option.

The two passenger terminals are open 24 hours and feature 14 aircraft stands and four gates. The international and domestic terminals handle 2.5 million passengers per year, with a total capacity for 3.5 million. Essential facilities include ATM machines, money exchange booths, a post office and a left luggage service. The terminals are comfortable and cool.

Food and beverage facilities are modern and western tastes are well catered for with many world brand restaurant names available, such as KFC and McDonalds. There is also a coffee shop and several snack bars. Duty-free shopping is available at a couple of locations; check on the prices and try to haggle a little. There are also several gift shops to tempt you. Most shops are not open 24 hours.

Transportation links between the airport and the town of Dalaman are not frequent. There is only one bus in the morning and a late afternoon bus on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Taxis offer a service to the major towns and resorts; however, they can prove to be expensive. The option of cheap car hire is a good alternative.
