The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Entry is through the main railway station which serves trains coming to and from other towns such as Catania and Messina. You can also fly to Catania and arrange for a car rental to get to the town.

Arranging for cheap car hire in Taormina may not be suitable if you intend to stay within the town centre. But travelling to this area will only be worthwhile if you also explored other nearby locations during your stay.

While you're in Taormina, take a leisurely walk along the main street Corso Umberto I. The area is closed to vehicles and features a number of historic buildings and old houses.
