The Galway Airport may be relatively small but it does provide travellers with reliable passenger services. The airport serves connecting flights to major airports and destinations in UK such as London, Manchester, Dublin and Edinburgh. As the fastest growing airport in Ireland, the Galway features a modest array of reliable services including budget car rental options, currency exchange and childcare facilities.

The airport is housed in a single terminal building located in Carnmore on the northern part of Galway City. The terminal serves both arrivals and departures for Aer Arann flights that come to and from the airport. Aside from options for cheap car hire at the Galway Airport, passengers are also provided access to baby changing facilities through the Disabled Toilets. These are located near the main entrance of the terminal as well as at the Departures Lounge. Free wireless internet access is available all throughout the terminals so passengers can attend to their business functions while waiting for their flights.

The information desk at the airport is located inside the main entrance door. There is also another one at the café or bar located in the Departures lounge. There are two car parks available at the Galway airport and both are located in front of the building. Dining and shopping options are quite limited. A café at the departures lounge serves a decent variety of refreshments as well as light meals.
