The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Budapest is one of those cities in the world that you simply have to visit if you have a week's holiday to spare. It is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe, famous for its happening nightlife, rich culture and colourful history. The city is quite big so you're better off arranging for cheap car hire in Budapest to get around.

This capital city of Hungary is divided into 23 districts and each part features its own set of tourist attractions that will make your trip worthwhile. Take your car rental to Castle Hill. Aside from the Royal Palace, you will find a number of museums including the Historical Museum of Budapest, the Marzipan Museum, and the Museum of Medieval Judaism.

You can also head for Margaret Island where you will find a number of natural parks that invite leisurely strolls. Downtown, head for the Andrassy ut – a boulevard in the city centre that is listed as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. It is home to the State Opera House, the House of terror and the Ernst Museum among others.

After that, treat yourself to a dose of retail therapy in the centre of Pest. This is considered the most expensive part of the city, as you will find a wide range of fine lace, linens and souvenirs in this area. The Great Market Hall is also a must visit if you're one who loves to haggle and bargain for the best prices in everything.

If you still have time to spare for day trips, take your cheap car hire in Budapest and drive to the town of Godollo where you will find a lot of nature parks and a former Royal Palace. You can also visit Visegrad with its Renaissance style palace and medieval towers.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
