Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The Barbados Grantley Adams International Airport, more commonly known as Barbados Airport serves regional and international flights coming to and from a number European destinations and major cities in the United States. It handles over two million passengers annually, offering connections through various airlines including Virgin Atlantic. As the main international gateway to the island of Barbados, the airport has also become a primary car rental hub in the area.

Barbados Airport has only one terminal that serves all departures and arrivals for all airlines that go through it. Cheap car hire at the Barbados Airport can be arranged through the many rental agencies that have set up counters inside the terminal. Other facilities available include currency exchange desks, information and travel assistance and baby changing facilities. There are also a number of banks and a post office open inside the airport building.
