Frankfurt Hahn Airport is located some 120kms west of Frankfurt am Main, but it is nevertheless conveniently and centrally located for trips to many places in this western region of Germany. The airport is mainly used by low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and brings visitors to dozens of cities in 12 countries to Germany. Situated in the wine-growing region of Rhineland-Palatinate, the airport lies between Hahn (Hunsrück) and Lautzenhausen.

Facilities for the disabled are available at the airport and these include convenient and free parking right next to the terminal building. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
